Sound is not great.

I just purchased the Sony CDX-GT310 at Circuit City. I like the features & ease of use. I only listen to the radio & CD's so I didn't need the extra features of the more expensive units. I don't even need a remote. But I am disappointed in the sound quality & FM reception. The difference in this unit compared to my Alpine (4 months old) that was recently stolen, is very noticeable. I get static on the radio in spots where there wasn't a problem with my old deck. It seems to be lacking in clear high fidelity sound. Oh, and that beeping after you turn the car off is annoying.
