Double-DIN size x ColorShock display = one wicked headunit. With the ColorShock variable-color LCD display you can create up to 67 different backlight colors to match your interior, your mood, your earring - you choose. The display can also cycle through all 67 colors, or automatically link a color to a music source. And because the dash-mount DPX-MP4030 is twice as large as regular headunits, it's twice as trick. But the DPX-MP4030 offers more than just looks: it plays MP3-encoded CD-Rs and conventional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, and features an integrated quad 1-Bit DAC for superb sound quality. A built-in 45-Watt x 4 amplifier provides the juice, and nine preset EQ curves and nine DSP modes let you customize your music. Plus, a 9-band/11-step spectrum analyzer display lets you visualize the frequencies for added control. Full-logic controls enable features such as Blank Skip and Repeat, and an auto-reverse tape transport auto-continues play when a tape reaches the end of a side. The tuner provides 24 FM/AM... I HAVE THIS DECK AND ITS EXCELLENT

Pros: mp3 tracks play instantly, easy ff, rw.

Cons: Display, figuring out how to adjust eq manually vs. the digital presets

The Bottom Line: I'd been looking for a double din mp3 deck and this is the first to hit the US... excellent deck, excellent features.

Review: I have this deck in my Mitsubishi Eclipse along with XM Satellite Radio hooked up to the AUX (have to get this special cable from Kenwood - adapter for CD Changer/AUX to rca jacks which are plugged in to the XM unit.
